Our customer ecovolta electrified the CAT 301.7 mini excavator with an ENGIRO motor. For the battery system the ecovolta-developed “evoTractionBattery” has been integrated. Compared to combustion engines in construction machinery, electric drives are much more efficient, nearly maintenance free and allow an emission free and noiseless operation. This is required in inner cities due to legal restrictions. The electrification of construction machinery is already possible today without any restrictions in daily use. According to ecovolta the mini excavator can be ordered by spring 2020.
